About the Teacher

Dr. Ed Golden has a 
Ph.D. in Education from
the University of Virginia and
has been teaching Latin
in the Williamsburg area
since 2003.
   

Ecce Romani II   Overview and Objectives

Ecce Romani II is an intermediate course in Latin.  It teaches students more complex Latin grammar and vocabulary, as well as a more in depth look at the history and culture of ancient Rome. Students will study the vocabulary and structures of Latin in a way that will:

  • improve their ability to decode English words and their understanding of the English language;

  • prepare them to study other languages;

  • improve performance on achievement tests;

  • increase self-confidence in the study of other academic areas.
